We are currently seeking a qualified Plumber to join our team at our Devonport site.

You'll work across one of New Zealand's largest Defence estates, carrying out plumbing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and project work across a diverse range of residential, commercial, and operational facilities.

About the Role

As a Plumber, you'll be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance activities that help maintain the functionality, safety, and compliance of plumbing systems throughout the camp.

Working alongside a skilled team of tradespeople, you'll deliver high-quality workmanship while supporting the ongoing maintenance and operation of critical infrastructure across the Defence estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns
  • Complete inspections and preventative maintenance activities
  • Diagnose faults and identify appropriate solutions
  • Maintain accurate job records and maintenance documentation
  • Manage plumbing materials and equipment effectively
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and regulations
  • Identify and report maintenance issues and asset condition concerns
  • Follow safe work practices and contribute to a positive safety culture
  • Participate in on-call rosters and call-out responses as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • NZ Registered Plumbing Qualification
  • At least 5 years' trade-related experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A collaborative approach and strong customer focus
  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence (Class 1)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain NZDF Security Clearance and Ministry of Justice checks
