We're looking for a Finance Administrator to join our team at Waiouru Military Camp.

This is more than a traditional finance administration role. You'll play a key part in supporting operational delivery by ensuring invoices, purchase orders, work orders and financial processes are managed accurately and efficiently.

Working closely with supervisors, operational teams, subcontractors and finance colleagues, you'll help ensure the information that supports decision-making, invoicing and contract performance is accurate, timely and reliable.

About the role

As Finance Administrator, you'll provide financial and operational administration support across the contract.

You'll be responsible for processing supplier invoices, managing purchase orders, completing reconciliations and supporting workflow administration through our job management and asset management system (MRI).

This role combines finance administration, workflow coordination and operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, attention to detail and working closely with people across the business.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Processing supplier invoices and accounts payable documentation
  • Raising and receipting purchase orders
  • Completing supplier and subcontractor reconciliations
  • Supporting work order and workflow administration
  • Monitoring outstanding invoices, approvals and financial queries
  • Assisting with work in progress (WIP) management and cost allocation
  • Supporting contract invoicing and cost recovery activities
  • Maintaining accurate financial and operational records
  • Assisting with reporting, audits and compliance activities
  • Building strong working relationships with operational teams, suppliers and subcontractors

What we're looking for

  • Experience in finance administration, accounts payable, contract administration or operational support
  • Strong understanding of invoice processing, purchase orders and reconciliations
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Confidence working with financial and workflow management systems
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and general computer literacy
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
