The Role

We’re looking for a Finance Administrator to join our team based at Devonport Naval Base, supporting both our Finance and Operations teams in the day-to-day financial management of one of our key contracts. This isn’t just a desk-based role you’ll be right at the heart of the operation, working closely with site teams to ensure financial processes are accurate, timely, and add real value.
You’ll be the kind of person who takes pride in getting things right the first time, but who is equally comfortable questioning processes and identifying smarter ways of working.
In this role, you’ll provide hands-on financial and administrative support across the contract, working closely with both finance and operational teams to keep things moving.
Your day-to-day will involve managing invoices from end to end from uploading and processing through to resolving issues, chasing outstanding supplier invoices, and ensuring contractors are paid within agreed timeframes. You’ll raise and complete purchase orders, carry out goods receipting, and ensure costs are accurately captured and reflected in the system.
You’ll also play a key role in supporting work order and WIP management, including reviewing jobs, following up outstanding work, progressing claims, and ensuring close-out information is accurate and meaningful. Alongside this, you’ll liaise regularly with Supervisors and the client through MRI, helping to keep workflows on track and addressing any issues as they arise.
There’s a strong focus on quality and performance in this role you’ll review bill batches, manage credits and corrections, support KPI achievement around invoicing timeliness and accuracy, and ensure financial processes are consistently followed.
