Customer Service Representative (Fixed Term)

About PAE New Zealand

At PAE New Zealand, we keep the world working and moving – from military bases to Antarctica. As one of New Zealand’s largest providers of facilities management services, we’re proud to support critical operations for clients like the NZ Defence Force, a large council organisation, and the United States Antarctic Program. Our work is diverse, meaningful, and often behind the scenes – just the way we like it.

Are you ready for a role like no other?

We’re looking for an organised, people-focused Customer Service Representative to join our seasonal Antarctic Support Contract team. This is a fast-paced, fixed-term opportunity supporting the United States Antarctic Program (USAP)

You’ll be the friendly face greeting USAP participants arriving in Christchurch before they transit to Antarctica.  You’ll be helping them settle in and supporting them with travel, accommodation, and logistics. From flight interruptions to lost baggage, you'll be the calm in the storm, keeping things moving and delivering top-notch service at every step.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to civilian USAP participants
  • Assist with travel and accommodation bookings, including managing hotel allocations
  • Meet and support participants arriving on commercial flights
  • Help retrieve lost baggage and provide general passenger support
  • Work a rostered 5-day week, including weekends (hours to be confirmed to meet operational needs)

Why you?

You’re calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and bring a can-do attitude to everything you do. You have great customer service skills, enjoy helping others, and can juggle multiple tasks without breaking a sweat. You’re digitally literate, comfortable navigating systems and tools, and quick to pick up new processes. Most importantly, you’re a team player who’s happy to pitch in wherever needed and stay steady when things get busy .

To be considered, you must:

  • Be available from 15 September 2026 (due to strict US security checks, we need to lock this in early)
  • Hold a clean full New Zealand Drivers Licence
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Be able to pass a US Government background investigation (including reference and security checks for an Airport Identity Card)
  • Hold New Zealand residency or a valid NZ Work Visa

What makes this role one of a kind?

This is no ordinary customer service role – you’ll be part of something much bigger. Supporting Antarctic operations is a rare and rewarding opportunity, and you’ll be working with a team who are passionate, professional and committed.  Applications close 28 April 2026, or earlier should a suitable candidate be identified.
