PAE is proudly Kiwi and Iwi-owned, delivering Facilities Management services that keep New Zealand’s world working and moving.
With increased market bid activity and a growing need for high-quality communications across our business, we are creating a new Bid Writer role.
The Role
Working within our Strategy, Innovation & Growth team, you will be responsible for developing and refining compelling bid content in response to market tenders.
You will carefully analyse tender requirements, engage across the business to build a deep understanding of PAE’s capabilities, draft core content, and review and finalise input from subject matter experts
You will manage the writing process end-to-end, coordinating contributors, maintaining structure and compliance, and driving submission quality
You’ll work closely with operational, commercial and executive leaders to translate complex service delivery models into clear, persuasive and differentiated submissions
We’re looking for someone who can think beyond standard responses, someone who can shape messaging that is structured, compelling and stands apart from competitors
You’ll also lead improvements in how we develop bids, including the effective and responsible use of AI tools to lift quality, efficiency and consistency
This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and requires strong judgement, attention to detail and the confidence to refine and elevate content across all levels of the organisation
About You
You are an experienced bid or proposal writer who understands how to turn complex information into clear, compliant and persuasive submissions.
You will bring:
Proven experience in bid writing or proposal development, ideally within Government or complex service environments
Highly advanced written communication and editing capability
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to draw out quality input
Confidence to challenge and refine content to improve clarity and impact
The ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
An interest in improving processes, including the potential use of AI tools
You understand that winning submissions are structured, aligned to evaluation criteria and easy for assessors to score
Why Join PAE?
We are run by Kiwis, for Kiwis. Our values guide how we work, and we take pride in supporting organisations that serve New Zealand communities.
This is a visible role that directly supports our growth and strengthens our capability across the business.
If you’re ready to help elevate the quality and consistency of our submissions, we’d love to hear from you.
