Building Services Coordinator

 

PAE is proud to support the New Zealand Defence Force by ensuring their facilities operate safely and professionally.

We currently have a 12 month fixed term opportunity for an organised and customer-focused Coordinator - this role plays an important part in keeping a newly established Defence facility running smoothly each day.

You’ll be a key part of the day-to-day building operations supporting reception, coordinating access and helping maintain a professional, secure and well-run workplace.

What the role involves

This is a practical, hands-on role combining reception, coordination and building support. You’ll:

  • Manage visitor reception and sign-in processes

  • Support access control and inductions

  • Coordinate meeting room setups and basic tech support

  • Manage mail, deliveries and building supplies

  • Log and follow up maintenance requests

  • Assist with routine building checks and health & safety processes

You’ll work closely with the Building Services Team Leader and provide cover for each other when required.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in reception, administration, hospitality or a customer-facing role

  • Confidence interacting with a wide range of people in a professional setting

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • The ability to manage routine tasks consistently and follow established processes

  • A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to support the wider team

Eligibility Requirements

Due to Defence security requirements, applicants must be:

  • A New Zealand Citizen, or

  • A New Zealand Permanent Resident, or

  • A valid New Zealand Visa holder who has resided in New Zealand for a minimum of five years.

  • Pass a criminal convictions check
