Finance Business Partner – Defence Portfolio

The Role
We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to lead core financial activities for our Defence portfolio. This is a hands-on and influential role, supporting senior leaders with insights that drive decision-making and long-term sustainability.
Reporting to the General Manager Business Support, you’ll:
- Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insight, analysis, and commercial advice.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting across the Defence portfolio.
- Deliver clear, accurate, and meaningful financial reports, KPIs, and commentary.
- Provide financial education to lift capability across operational teams.
- Analyse and review contract costing, profitability, and operational performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and strategic initiatives.
About You
You’ll bring strong technical expertise and the ability to turn numbers into meaningful business insights. Just as importantly, you’ll be a trusted partner who can influence and support leaders in making sound commercial decisions.
We’re looking for someone with:
- A tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, or business management.
- CA/CPA (or equivalent) membership.
- At least 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage relationships and provide commercial leadership.
