We’re on the lookout for an experienced Grounds Supervisor to lead our dedicated team at RNZAF Base Woodbourne. This hands-on leadership role is perfect for a motivated self-starter who can see the bigger picture, take ownership, and drive results. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of both scheduled and reactive grounds maintenance, ensuring high standards across the site.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supervising up to 5 grounds staff, ensuring scheduled maintenance & project work is completed on time.
- Leading and developing a team to deliver exceptional results
- Setting the standard for quality and efficiency
- Assist in the preparation of annual programmed maintenance plans and monthly grounds maintenance schedules.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets as needed
- Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment, scheduling servicing or replacement within budget.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- 5 years + Trade related and supervisory experience.
- NZ Horticulture Qualifications
- Gardening or grounds maintenance experience.
- Chainsaw Operators and Grow Safe Certification (preferred but not essential).
- Turf management experience (preferred but not essential)
- NZ Drivers Licence A; Class 1.
- A collaborative team approach, with the ability to foster and maintain relationships.
