We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead our RNZAF Base Woodbourne mechanical team, ensuring the successful execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on-site. If you’re a hands-on leader with a passion for problem-solving and high-quality service delivery, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supervising a team of skilled mechanical professionals.
- Managing maintenance operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard.
- Planning and coordinating scheduled and reactive maintenance.
- Ensuring compliance with NZ safety standards and PAE’s Health & Safety policies.
- Overseeing procurement of materials and resources for maintenance projects.
- Monitoring quality assurance, ensuring work meets all required standards.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including subcontractors and internal teams.
- Identifying opportunities for improvements and innovation within the team.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- 5+ years of experience in a mechanical trade-related and supervisory role.
- A relevant mechanical trade qualification (NZ Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify and implement improvements.
- A commitment to Health & Safety, ensuring best practices are followed at all times.
- A valid NZ Driver’s License (Class 1).
- The ability to obtain security clearances as required by our clients.
